Have you ever looked at your business and thought, “Wow, is this it? I thought things would be different? “I thought business would be better by now?”
If you have, you are not alone! But what if I told you that there was one thing that could make a shift, so that you realize that this IS the greatest time in history to be be in the beauty industry, to prosper and make lots of money??? And to live the life you want to live???
But first, let me introduce, myself. I’m Jaye Renee’, I’m an author, beauty industry educator, 20 year industry veteran and creator of Predictable Beauty Industry Behavioral Systems. I’ve been seen in/on USA Today, Black Enterprise, Huffpost, The Miami Herald, The Salt Lake Tribune, Yahoo! Finance, CBS Moneywatch, MarketWatch, Boston.com and more.
Ever since I’ve learned this one thing, I’ve been able to transform my own beauty businesses and help others to do the same!
It is from this one thing that I’ve created the brand new “Winning The Beauty Game” success course for beauty professionals and it is on FIRE!!!
Now, I have to be honest! It wasn’t always like this for me. Like so many aspiring beauty professionals, I wanted to be one of the ones who’s books were so full that I could predict how my 6 figure income would be.
I would imagine that from this industry, where I helped people to feel better about themselves, that I could have all that I wanted! And for a while, no matter what I did, it seemed like I was getting further and further away from my goals.
I remember one day I was talking to some industry veterans about how the industry was changing and what we needed to do to prepared for those changes. They actually laughed in my face!
I also remember one day sitting in the salon hoping to get walk-ins because I knew that I had very few clients on my books for that week. I remember the days when I spent thousands and thousands of dollars on one marketing campaign or another that still didn’t work! Smh.
I have failed in different areas of the industry more than once and I started to think that maybe, I just wasn’t cut out for it. That maybe, I didn’t have enough talent after all, and that I should just give it up.
I remember thinking that I should have went to college, that I didn’t have the connections I needed to make it and that I didn’t grow up with money so maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.
So if you feel stuck, if you second guess your talent and your abilities and sometimes ask yourself if you can actually make it as a beauty professional or beauty business owner, I know how you feel and I have been there too!
To be honest I gave up more than once. I quit, worked in other industries but always came back to the beauty industry, it’s what I love and where I belong and if your reading this, I’m sure it’s where you belong as well.
Let me tell you that I understand what it’s like to want more, to dream of more but think, “Maybe it’s just not for me.”
